Ray,
Currently I am in an Instructional Media and Technology graduate course and we have completed week one of our six week exploration of the wondrous possibilities technology offers our children in the classroom. It is definitely exciting and worthwhile, since like you said we live in a multimedia world and that is what our students will be living in throughout their lifetimes.
However, there are some fundamentals that must be present to give our students the best possible education they can get. You hit the nail right on the head when you mentioned parental, teacher and administration support. I am a firm believer that when the three separate entities as mentioned before work together to provide a superior education for students they are the ones who benefit. With one weak part the entire system is not as strong as it could be. When the foundation is solid, the details can be added, such as enhancing lessons with technology.

Hi Ed,

Yes I will post at least once a month for June, July and more in August as we go back to school on the 13th of August.

I'm actually in the process of writing another post about the ActivBoards and one about the loss of 7 billion in funds for education in Florida.
